Recently, at the site of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, Shandong Shinmade Technology Materials Co., Ltd. and Primetals Technologies, a global leader in metallurgical technology, held a signing ceremony for the "Electrical Control and Automation Project of 1450mm Six-Stand Pickling and Cold Rolling Combined Unit".

Mr. Tomislav Koledic, Chief Executive Officer of Primetals Technologies China, led the executive team, and together with Wei Longfeng, Chairman of Shinmade,Yi Shengguang, President, and the project team, attended the signing ceremony.

The First Domestic Small Roll Diameter Plain Carbon Steel Six-Continuous Rolling Mill Unit

As the first domestic high-speed ultra-thin strip pickling and rolling combined unit adopting small-diameter work rolls, Shinmade's 1450mm Six-high Six-stand Pickling and Rolling Combined Unit takes "thinner, faster, and more precise" as its design objectives. It has a maximum rolling speed of 1800m/min, a designed annual output of 1.6 million tons, and a minimum finished product thickness of 0.15mm, committed to building a benchmark project for domestic ultra-thin strip cold rolling.The project adopts the fully continuous endless rolling production process and equipment, equipped with core equipment such as China First Heavy Industries' new VCMS six-high rolling mill, high-strength steel drum-type flying shear, and high-precision Carrousel coiler, which significantly improves the strip shape quality and increases the product yield.

The core highlight of this cooperation — the industry-leading electrical control and automation system of Primetals Technologies, will be deeply integrated into the production line of Shinmade, equipping the unit with a "thinking brain".

The electrical control and automation of Primetals Technologies adopts the high-precision fully integrated automation control system based on the TIA series of Primetals. Through advanced control algorithms, model calculation and neural network self-learning technology, it realizes high-speed and high-precision thickness control, edge drop control and shape optimization.Combined with the AI visual recognition intelligent system and adaptive control technology, the unit can predict potential faults in advance during high-speed operation, provide early warnings and adjustment suggestions for operators, and improve production stability and product quality consistency.
